This project is a joint project between JAMK University of Applied Sciences (Finland), University College of South Denmark (Denmark), Nizhnevartovsk State University (Russia) and St. Petersburg State Institute of Psychology and Social Work (Russia).
The idea of the collaboration is to build multidisciplinary network of higher education institutions between Nordic countries and Russia. This network will develop a joint virtual studies mainly for Master level students, PhD candidates and relevant senior Bachelor level students. This kind of network collaboration could be a forum for internationalization of MA students and PhD candidates.
In this project participants will develop open courseware for joint virtual training courses. The theme of this training is “Social integration of minority and migrant children in Denmark, Finland and Russia”, which is a very current topic for multidisciplinary cooperation in different countries all over the world.
The main purpose of this project is to facilitate the development of multidisciplinary, innovative practices and to support the development of innovative services, pedagogies and practice for lifelong learning through active involvement of partner universities’ academic staff and students and also relevant stakeholders. This project will also improve the quality and to increase the volume of student and academic staff mobility. Thirdly this project will enable the students and teachers of the partner institutions to deepen and share their knowledge and know-how in evidence-based practices of social integration of minority and migrant children.
Overall goal of the project is to strengthen internationalization of higher education and to develop multidisciplinary joint training courses by using new technology and possibilities for virtual and blended-learning / distance learning. Intensive Programme weeks will be partly simultaneously on-line by Adobe Connect.
This project is in line with the development strategies of all partners in this network. Further the project expands pedagogical approach in distance learning and international virtual training possibilities in each partner institute with common developed open courseware.
